Deciding that I wanted to go to PA school was the easy part. The variance in requirements, numerous deadlines, and competitive environment left me feeling very overwhelmed in my preparation for applying to PA school.
Like many of you, I created a spreadsheet with each schools’ information and prerequisite courses in an attempt to organize the process. I made another spreadsheet for logging HCE/PCE, shadowing, and volunteer hours; and another for keeping track of the status of my applications. Which brings me to my next point... figuring out which schools I would apply to.
I attempted to calculate my chances of getting into PA school. How was I measuring up? Did I hit all of the checkmarks for each school? Applications are expensive and I didn’t want to apply too broadly if it wasn’t necessary. I also was determined to get into PA school on my first try.
