CONQUERING CASPA OPENING DAY 2020

I vividly remember CASPA opening day in 2016. The moment I had waited on for over 3 years had finally arrived and I was left with mixed emotions.⁣

I was filled with feelings of fear, doubt, uncertainty, and inadequacy. Would I measure up? Was I a competitive applicant? Did I have what it takes to get into PA school on the first try? ⁣

At the same time I felt confident, enthusiastic, and determined to succeed. I was ready to begin my application and be one step closer to fulfilling my dream of becoming a PA. ⁣

𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐏𝐀 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐈𝐏𝐒:⁣

𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐅𝐘 - Put on your comfy clothes and curl up on the couch with your favorite blanket and some snacks. Light a candle and turn on some music. You'll most likely be here for a while. Make it an enjoyable experience. ⁣

𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇 - You've got this. You've done the hard work already. You just have to put it down on paper (or in this case, the computer). Don't put too much pressure on yourself to complete everything today. Just get started. ⁣

𝐃𝐎 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 - Reflect on why you want to be a PA. Think about all of the hard work you've put achieved in order to be where you are today. ⁣

𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅 - Create a CASPA account (or sign in) and browse through the platform before you get started. You'll spend a lot of time on CASPA so you want to make sure you're comfortable navigating things first.⁣

𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐃 - Fill in your personal information and get started entering your academic history. Reach out to your LOR writers to let them know that they should receive an email from CASPA soon. Then add their email addresses and await their responses.⁣

𝐏𝐀𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 - You did it! You're one step closer to becoming a PA. Come back to CASPA over the next few weeks to work on your application. Update your transcripts, admissions testing, personal statement etc. as you complete them. ⁣

𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮.⁣

How are you feeling today? Are you ready to tackle CASPA?
