There's a method to my madness. You don't have to be a genius to pass your exams. Fortunately/unfortunately, it's possible to skate through quite a few questions on an exam if you're skilled in the art of test taking.⁣

𝐌𝐘 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐌 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:⁣

1. 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 – Get an idea of what the question is really asking. This will help frame your thoughts in regard to the information you are given. ⁣

2. 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝗪𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 – Identify buzz words. These are things that jump out at you and seem familiar.⁣

3. 𝐀𝐍𝐒𝗪𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐒𝗪𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 – If the question is well written, you should be able to answer it prior to evaluating the answer choices. ⁣

4. 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐒𝗪𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 – Read all answers from top to bottom. Don't stop reading, even if you think you've found the answer.⁣

5. 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝗪𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐒𝗪𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐒 – At least one of the answers will be obviously wrong. Mentally or physically cross it out. ⁣

6. 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐒𝗪𝐄𝐑 – Go with your gut. If you have absolutely no idea and are unable to make an educated guess, you have one of two options: choose the longest answer or when it doubt, "C" it out.⁣

7. 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐆 𝐈𝐅 𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘 – Flag all questions that you have any doubt about. ⁣

8. 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝗪 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 – Come back to these questions if you have extra time. Don’t change answers unless you’re 100% positive based upon info from other questions.⁣

What test taking tips/tricks do you have?
