𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐃:⁣

▫️This was one of very few rotations that did not have procedures involved⁣

𝐓𝐈𝐏𝐒:⁣

▫️Be familiar with most common chronic illnesses – hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, COPD, asthma, depression, chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure ⁣▫️You will likely be pimped on complex pathophysiology – don’t be too hard on yourself, some of these things we merely brush over in PA school, study up if asked

▫️Review basic labs, electrolyte abnormalities, and acid/base disturbances⁣

▫️Hospitalists write their notes much differently than we learn in PA school – assessment/plan are typically first and they address every disease/disorder on the problem list⁣

If you have internal medicine experience, what tips do you have?
